The Ocean Project - which has grown from a handful of American aquariums in 1998 to a global network of approximately 600 partners in all 50 states and 45 countries - is launching its new initiative, Seas the Day this year. Using inspirational and informative values-based communications strategies and products, the Seas the Day initiative will utilize The Ocean Project's network to enhance ocean awareness among the public; change attitudes and behaviors for conservation; increase civic involvement in community conservation activities; and generate regional and national policy-focused action. They have a great new web presence that provides access to a wide variety of educational resources for children and adults. Ocean Constituency Building The Seas the Day initiative capitalizes on The Ocean Project's expansive network of zoos, aquariums, science and natural history museums (ZAMs), as well as conservation organizations, both large and small, and other interested institutions. |
